A 1TB drive with 960GB of the last 4 years of my personal visual arts career was on the line and DriveCrash was able to recovery at least 99% of the data to my observation after getting the drive back. Now, yes this is a lot of money, but to take a gamble between someone whose says they can do it for 500 bucks but can’t be sure of the outcome versus someone who says they can do it for 2,400 but is very optimistic that outcome will be very good, then it’s a no brainer. In my case, it was $400 for the drive to be evaluated and $1,800 for it to be serviced. Like having someone rebuild the engine in your car, they can give you a ball park estimate beforehand but not an exact quote until everything is done. Like I said, data recover is not cheap, it’s an expensive craft. However, the good news was he was able to recover a portion of the drive which was not as damaged. After Mike opened up one of my drives, he saw that the previous shop had caused irreversible damage.
